The Conference on Sustainable Development of Global Intelligently Interconnected Digital Economy and the World Internet of Things Convention are global platforms for innovation and development in the Internet of Things (IoT) and digital economy, receiving attention and support from the United Nations, governments worldwide, and enterprises. The conferences have played a constructive role in promoting the United Nations' Global Digital Cooperation and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), facilitating the transformation from the Internet of Everything toward the Intelligent Internet of Everything, accelerating the transition from the digital economy to an advanced digital economy, fostering global digital economy and social innovation, and supporting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
The World Internet of Things Convention and the China Mobile Communications Association plan to jointly host the 2026 Conference on Sustainable Development of Global Intelligently Interconnected Digital Economy and the World Internet of Things Convention in Beijing, China, from 2–4 November 2026, alongside a European Forum in Toulouse, France. Distinguished guests, including the Secretary-General of the United Nations, government officials from relevant countries, ambassadors and diplomatic representatives to China, heads of international organizations, leaders of research institutions and think tanks, as well as executives from IoT and digital economy enterprises, are invited to participate both online and offline.
Under the theme of “A World of Smart Interconnection, A Future of Win-Win Cooperation”, the conference will feature a range of activities in China, including the Opening Ceremony, the World New Economy Forum, the Ambassadors Forum, the European Forum, and the Urban Innovation Development Forum as major sessions. Parallel forums will also cover topics such as Industrial Intelligent Manufacturing, Transportation and Auto Intelligence, Smart Energy, Artificial Intelligence, Healthcare, Low-Altitude Intelligent Interconnection, Standardization, and International Exchange and Cooperation. Dedicated forums for national or local governments and enterprises will also be organized. During the conference, several important initiatives and achievements will be released, including the Blue Paper on the Global Intelligently Interconnected Digital Economy Development, Global Demonstration Cities, Enterprises and Outstanding Cases for the Intelligently Interconnected Digital Economy, and the World IoT Digital Economy Awards, among others.
The conference aims to provide valuable reference and insights for the United Nations, governments worldwide, and enterprises in promoting digital economic transformation and upgrading, as well as global economic and social innovation and development. Through innovative cooperation in the Intelligently Interconnected Digital Economy, the conference seeks to promote world peace, improve smart production, smart living and working for people around the globe, facilitate common progress and development, and jointly create a better future for the world economy and society.
The World Internet of Things Convention has successfully held ten annual conference and the first Conference on Sustainable Development of Global Intelligently Interconnected Digital Economy, attracting over tens of millions of participants online and offline, with cumulative live-stream viewership exceeding 400 million worldwide.
